The $17 Work/Camp Light from Lowes

I've been renovating my garage for few days.
Picked up these $17 / 85 watt/ 7000 lumens lights from Lowes yesterday to improve the lighting.
I may have to go back and get one more for working under vehicles.
They're like 48 inches of sunshine under there!

I spent 8 days detailing it a couple of weeks back, and the last day was under the truck, checking and cleaning everything.

The floor is clean because I just finished painting the OSB and reworking everything in the garage.

It's crazy how much space I gained by moving things to where they work more efficiently.

And yes, I have a Roomba out there

Yeah what is the saying: A clean office (or Jeep) is a sign of a sick mind?

I had several LED shop lights go bad (different brands), then finally gave up and got a traditional work light that takes a 120V household light bulb, then put a "100W equivalent" LED bulb in it. If that bulb goes bad then I can simply put another in.

The light you show above had the advantage that it is a long bar of light, whereas this household bulb is more like a small area of light. But I can daisy chain several and they are cheap.

you painted OSB? Oooph. Did that once. Couldn’t believe the amount of paint that stuff absorbs. Like a sailor on shore leave……

Hahaha. Yeah. 14 year old OSB was very thirsty.
6 gallons. 3 coats.
The 3/4" microfiber roller is the way to go.

I must have caught a deal on them. Looking online now and they're $35 each.

I got something similar a couple of years ago. I replaced the original 6' long old style bulbs and it's amazing how much $60 improved the lighting

I did the ballast free LED replacements in the overhead garage lights last year. They're nice and don't mess around when it's cold. Instant on.

Great idea! I had one of these over my workbench but when I updated all the lights in the garage I put in a 8' four LED bulb setup and put this thing aside. Yesterday I dug it out, made all the difference working under the Jeep yesterday.
