What i am reading here is that JT demand will rise significantly after 2028
all the more reason to buy and hold. if you look at it that way. I'm definitely buying a second one in the near future.

So in 2029 when Jeep introduces the JM
what will they call the Gladiator?
The TM?

Depending on how much they change the Wrangler
will largely determine if they continue the Gladiator.

Instead of trying to make it all things to all people,
in my opinion, Stellantis is wise to minimize the options.

Stellantis' strength is their global market.
They should concentrate on offering
a basic truck to the world
to rival the Land Rover Defender 110.
Leave all the accessories to the aftermarket.

Even the Starbucks crowd
does not care about panty cloth upholstery.
Farkles only serve to dilute the brand image.

Is the Gladiator for soccer moms
or an icon of rugged individualism.

i think if you look at it from an overland/offroad/lifestyle perspective. The Tacoma comes pretty close. It has a insane amount of after market and a very similar cult like following.
I came from a TRDPro, and the JTR is far and away a better off-road vehicle - front and rear lockers, disconnect (now Tacoma has that), much better ability to increase height for a lot cheaper, and upgrading is simply easier. I found it to be an upgrade from the Toyota. Still, the JTR is overpriced.

I think its overpriced to but its in the same cost bracket as the TRD spec tacos. The fact that 23' and down tacos somehow kept in the same boat as an enthusiast option and a light duty truck. with a fraction of the features and capability. its kinda impressive. The Toyota cool aid is strong. if thats the right term.

"Still, the JTR is overpriced."

Which is the only thing that will kill the JT.

I thought Stellantis was building a factory to add a whole bunch of their own aftermarket accessories?

Do the sales numbers really matter? How many parts are shared with the JL? How much is the markup for basically buying a lot of the same parts? Also the union document mentioned looks like the JT is getting PHEV in 2025.

So in 2029 when Jeep introduces the JM
what will they call the Gladiator?
The TM?
The union document indicates it's going to be the J70?

Didn't they announce a gladiator 4xe for 2025 already? I'd bet they announce the final year of production at the beginning of taking orders for that model year so I'd say 2025s are basically guaranteed. Beyond that who cares really? If/when they announce the end you can decide to buy a "last call" or not but why worry about it? I enjoy my 2023 JTM and our 2022 JLUR. Depending on their mileage if/when the end is announced I'll have something to think about, but why worry about it? If the full EV wrangler is anything like the magneto 3.0 concept I'll gladly put the JLUR out to pasture.

I think you're right, and I imagine that Stellantis never considered the Gladiator as a credible competitor. At least as far as the JTR is concerned, it's a different class.
