For years everyone on the 4Runner forum was convinced Toyota was gonna kill it off and replace it with a crossover even though they already have a crossover. Never happened. Speculate away with nothing to back it up but speculation.

Right?

Although the incoming Land Cruiser may give the 4R a run for its money, depending on the price point.

So in 2029 when Jeep introduces the JM
what will they call the Gladiator?
The TM?

Depending on how much they change the Wrangler
will largely determine if they continue the Gladiator.

Instead of trying to make it all things to all people,
in my opinion, Stellantis is wise to minimize the options.

Stellantis' strength is their global market.
They should concentrate on offering
a basic truck to the world
to rival the Land Rover Defender 110.
Leave all the accessories to the aftermarket.

Even the Starbucks crowd
does not care about panty cloth upholstery.
Farkles only serve to dilute the brand image.

Is the Gladiator for soccer moms
or an icon of rugged individualism.
You missed an opportunity: It'll be the MT following the nomenclature, Mud-Terrain, it's pretty clever if they do it.

I'll start this discussion off by calling back to previous post, questioning that the JT could be coming to the end of it production some time soon. But with the production of the 24' Rubi and Mojave X models. One would assume the JT is here to stay. Or is it? While the X versions are definitely cool imo. The lack of 4xE, 392 and Hurricane integration as well as the dropping of eco diesel powerplant. It feels like the JT is getting setup for the pasture. Like we've been hung out to dry and fend for ourselves when it comes to a next gen powerplant. The entire market along with the wrangler has been getting stronger, faster, and more efficient. turbo 4s, hybrid assist, twin turbo inline 6s making a comeback. Meanwhile the JT gets a little more trim as if that gonna make up for being the middle child Jeep is slowly forgetting. Personally I'm gonna be annoyed to see the day a Compass chugs along as the JT gets taken out to pasture. Thoughts?
I'm fairly certain we would have more powerful engine options in a different political environment.

We will know more later this year.

With the Power Wagons. We all thought that 2008 was going to be the last year. Sales was around 1,800 units. For '09, they up-dated the motor. 2010, they came out with the 4G PW. Now it's a 5G. Hopeful Jeep does the something with the JT.
