Hah I get it. When I bought this I was 30 miles down I-35 before I figured out how to change the radio station and set the temperature. I was used to 3 knobs. Speed, Temp, Position. If that fails open a window and take your chances. If you want more well....****you be happy with what you got.
Agree 100% on that. Try asking someone under 35 what power steering by Armstrong means, or what a 2-60 AC system is. Ask them if they’ve ever driven their chevrolegs to work before ?

I grew up with a 78 Chevy diesel my dad and I built in the back yard. I didn't know and somehow he did, that an Olds Delta-88 block is a diesel in gasser config and bolts right up. So, we dropped on in. So, yea. My first ride was one I had to build in the backyard. The world has no idea now days.

Oh God. I've become a boomer.

it’s not just for maps, that’s just what it’s called lol.
and I can read maps, and understand contour lines very well. Army infantry Paratrooper, and I earned an expert infantry badge . Lol
Yep, I still use maps. I like the detail. I travel using them and the nav system is for keeping track of mileage to destination and so forth. Taught orienteering and land nav in Army. Use to run vehicle land nav courses with no compass, just for kicks. Never been lost but have been confused a couple times.
