Are they very obvious once installed? How far do they stick out when retracted? Thinking about one for the passenger side for my vertically challenged wife.

I bought one to try out for my short wife as well as a precursor to hopefully getting an AEV lift. My Rubicon is currently on the stock suspension and she has a bit of trouble now so a lift could put me in the doghouse. I got it and installed it with my son in about 1/2 hour and gave it to her for Mother’s Day! She loves it.
It only sticks out about 2 inches or so beyond the rock rail. Just enough to get a toe hold to drop it down. The beauty of it is that by pulling out 2 pins you can remove the parts that stick down if you go rock crawling (not that I plan on it).

how do you and your wife like the positioning of the step? I was considering these as well since the RSE steps are pretty heavy and costly.
