Unfortunately, the Internet is a dumping ground of negativity. So why not have a rant thread where people can expel their frustrations of the world (sans politics).
We had one on another forum. For academic reasons only, I started a competing "yay! my faith in humanity is restored" thread, and someone else started a "Success!!!" thread. Neither are as popular as the rant thread.
So, come commiserate with your complaints centered on common conundrums.
My rant - Trying to get my online account set up with Rocky Mountain Power. I just spent 30mins for them to fix my account because I can't login on Chrome or Edge browsers. I get a generic "something went wrong" error. Try to reset my password. The password reset email says "click this link" with NO link. Not even the text link so I can copy & paste.
The mobile app is useless for account setup. I tried to "pay as guest" and the website hung "loading" the page and never loaded it. I let it run for 30 minutes.
So I call and finally get to the web help team. They send me the correct email with the reset password link.
Same problems. She suggests I try it on my mobile phone. It works, sort of. It won't accept any of my passwords. I've used the same format of passwords for 25+ years. Only recently has the new security requirements forced me to use @ for A or something.
I type a password I've used for about 20 years and it gets rejected because I'm using a common word. Uh, it's not a common word, it's a name, and a unique one at that. I only know of one family in the Kannapolis, North Carolina area that has this name (not saying there aren't others), and while it's pretty famous, it's not common.
So I finally find one that works. I get my password reset, account linked and all that jazz. Now I can pay my electric bill before it gets shut off because I've been dealing with their broken system far too long.
I log in on the desktop so I can link my bank account for auto pay. The site hung for 10 minutes when I clicked "My Account".
F this s**t.
I did stay polite on the phone despite my rage of this messed up system.
And yes, I could go mail a check... if I had a checkbook... or call with my card info. But I need to setup autopay so when I'm knee-deep in "not even a WeBoost will help" land I don't have to worry about paying bills.
