On the OUTSIDE? You mean where it can get wet?
Almost looks like the defogger used inside the box for the adaptive cruise/FCW hardware to keep the glass clear, but that's inside the cab on the glass and not where you can see it.

Yep on the outside, I just washed and waxed it 2 days ago and we have never noticed it. My techy millennial kid thinks it's RFID tracker/code lock unlock tape thing.
