Tire compatibility question 275/65R17

My gladiator currently has 275/75R17. I found a set of great priced Mickey Thompson that are 275/65R17.
I owner of the tire place said they would work and only issue would be the speedometer being off slightly.

However I wanted to check on here to see if there is wood or would not actually be compatible with my current vehicle.

They should fit, but the 275/65-17 are 31.1”, the 275/75-17 will be at least 33.1”, so you will loose 1.5” ground clearance! With shorter sidewalls that will not off road as well.

Will fit fine, as for difference it is just a smaller tire is all.

Not 100% accurate but pretty close to the difference in the speedometer (That is if it is set to the current size currently that is.):
