Is there handling or performance difference either on or off road?

price difference?

what about tire rating preference.

I haven’t heard of any 12” wide tires. Most are 12.5” or 11.5” (like mine).

Like my dad tried to tell me years ago (in my teens - I’m 51), “The wider the tire, the more slippery surface you’re on.”
This includes rain covered and dry roads too.

I used to think wide tires were cool, but now I will not even consider anything beyond my mentions below. I am not rolling in deep sand/offroad snow or bottomless watery mud holes, as mentioned in the TrailBuilt OffRoad video I shared and when flotation is required.

I roll 10.5” wide tires on 8.5” wide wheels in the warmer months and 10” wide tires on 7.5” wide wheels in the winter. Michigan.

I would have stuck to the 10” wide tires year round, but were backordered at the time and I am impatient AF.

Yes, 3 different stores (2 Belle Tire and 1 Jeep specialty shop) said they absolutely would mount 10” wide tires on 8.5” wide wheels.

Function over fashion and I absolutely love the way my Jeep drives/handles with either set of tires on.

Skinny tires better for everything except mud, sand, and looks.

As far as looks… subjective. The Wide vs. Skinny video thumbnail above… the WIDE tire one looks stupid AF IMO. ?

Of my 10.5” wide… this is my favorite picture I have. No sliders, but it’s just a cool angle N chit. Again… subjective/IMO.

I wish my 10” wide tires were on those wheels and that was the plan, but my lack of patience said “Nope!” ?
