I’ve been testing this Iceco JP50 fridge for a little while now. Just finishing up a test using the Bluetti EB70S as the power station with great results.

I will have some more info coming soon about my final thoughts for those interested.

So I have been testing this Iceco JP50 for a few weeks now and just wanted to give you guys my full thoughts and opinions on it.

First let's talk about the price. Price usually plays a large factor in our buying decision and as you know cheaper isn't always better as you usually get what you pay for. At $559 the JP50 is a great middle of the road option. There are definitely cheaper and more expensive options but you will find those cheaper options lacking a good warranty and using some cheaper parts.

The JP50 uses a Secop (Danfoss) compressor which is a well known German brand. There is a five year warranty on the compressor. I really like long warranty periods like that because it gives me peace of mind that my investment is protected. The Secop compressor is very quiet and uses very little power to keep the fridge cool. I was able to keep the fridge at 37 degrees for over 75 hours with the Bluetti EB70 powering it.

It is made of ABS plastic and feels pretty stout and durable. The handles are sturdy and have a nice spring back to them. The buttons have a good tactile feel to them as well. The ergonomics while not very important to a fridge are nice.

The highlight so far of using the fridge was actually setting it to 0 degrees and using it to take some ice cream out on the trail. It really was a treat to be able to do that. I suppose I'm still a kid at heart. It feels like something that should be able to be done but is so easy with a good fridge/freezer.

If you are on the fence about getting a fridge I would recommend checking out the Iceco line of fridges. They have other sizes in the JP line and several other lines as well. I have some more details and impressions in the YouTube video for those that are interested.

I've been testing this BougeRV 53 quart fridge for a little while now. The build quality overall is similar to the Iceco. The power consumption is quite possibly the only draw back. It's not that is uses a ton of power but it uses more than I would like. I was able to run this set to 37 degrees off the Bluetti EB70 for just over two days. Full video review below.
