Seeing lots of JT in the showcase and elsewhere on 2-2.5" lift with 37s and factory flares. Wondering if they ever rub? I pretty much planned on going with the Metal Cloak or similar flares but now second guessing the need. I dont want to worry about rubbing or ripping off a flare. My set up is on order and has the Clayton Offroad 2.5" Overland Plus, 37x12.5x17 Ridge Grapplers on Black Rhino 17x9.5 wheels.

I think you would be good. I've seen plenty of them on 37's and 2.5" of lift and looks like plenty of room for flex.

I have the 2” Mopar on 37s and I have no issues at full flex. That being said the Mopar lift is probably closer to a 3” lift. I also have a Maxtow which has a slightly different fender flare so not sure how much that helps.

I also have the max tow package but wasnt aware of any difference in the flares on them from any other model except the highline fenders in the Rubicon.

Yes max tow flares are different than all the others.
They are a 2 piece like the overland but the outer piece has an extra lip due to the wider axles. And they use the same light fixture as the overland a and rubicons

Standard sport/sport s are 1 piece flares with a unique light

The height of Max tow flares are no different than regular sports. They are slightly differently made but have the same stance height wise. The Rubicon flares are the only JT flares that offer higher clearance. For reference I got a Max tow and my buddy doesn't and they both have the same clearance

That’s what I thought. I never considered nor worried about the construction. The clearance was all that mattered. There’s Rubicon and then there’s everything else.

The metal cloak flares don’t appear to be as high as the rubicon factory flare, which line up with the hood fender seam. The MC flares look like they’re about the same point on the fender as a factory non rubi flare.
