What do you think about buying a used Toneau cover from someone? I am always hesitant to buy used equipment but they are so darn expensive. And if I do buy new I will have to go with the cheaper <$300 soft covers. Do you think they are ok for a non-garage kept truck in PA? I don't keep stuff in the bed at all times but when I do I'd like it to stay dry. Thanks! --Rob

As long as the cover material itself is solid, no cuts or tears or abrasions, then the cover is fine.

You'll have to buy at least a new seal for the cab end of the cover, about 1/2" thick. You may have to buy new seals for the side pieces.

if you want to keep things dry, youll want weather stripping for the tailgate as well. it has huge gaps.

We can meet halfway if you’d like. I’m in Bucks County. Or bring it with me next time I head up to Rausch or AOAA.

Let me know if you’d like more info.

You should be fine with a used top, as a post above said - no cuts, tears, etc... I sold a soft roll up cover on a previous truck and it was in new-like condition. The buyer just needed to buy the weather stripping for the front end of the bed. That was all.
