Hey, Lou, how you doing? No, you wouldn't see me on the JL side. I own a JK and have been active on JK-Forum, though it's pretty slow anymore these days. I will keep a bit of an eye on this Gladiator forum--it's the only one I've joined--hoping to find answers to the inevitable questions I'll have. And when I think my advice or opinions will be helpful, will contribute. Current plans for the JK are to keep it as my primary overlanding rig. The JT, however, will see some use. I've got some ideas of a bit different tack on that, but it will still include tent camping. I'll reveal more about that when I produce my first video with it. ;-) Probably late January.
Couldn't help notice the SoftTop . . . any regrets? Heck you could sleep on the rear seat (ugh) and Consider yourself sleeping in a tent (somewhat higher ground though, ha). I've been using the Kodiak Canvas 9Wx8Dx6H (with my WK2) but am considering making it a LOT Easier on my "old-bod" with the New Single-sized "Swag" OZ-Tent . Very easy set up & take down . The Kodiak with its Very Heavy Galvanized Frame that needs connecting is a real pain in the arse ! Look forward to Januaries GLAD Vids. !

Got my Punk’n I Rubicon today. Funny thing is that Dealer didn’t call me when it came in. I checked with @JeepCares and they said I had better contact the dealer and that it had been delivered but would not say when. I called the salesman and after exchanging pleasantries, he said, oh by the way, your truck is here. All dealer parts were done. So I picked it up this afternoon. 13 miles on it. Love it so far!

No regrets on the soft top. It truly is so quiet you really don't even notice. But haven't had it out on the Interstates, yet.

Just ordered my JT last night. Ordered a Rubicon in Sting Grey with black fenders and grill with manual 6spd. The manual was the hard part to find. When I did find them they either had none of options I wanted or way more than I needed or wanted to pay for. Look forward to receiving it in about 4-5 weeks....can't wait!!

Picked mine up yesterday. Couldn't be happier. First stop was to pick up wheels/tires from 4X4 shop nearby. They were all booked up and couldn't install them, but they're mounted and balanced so I'll put them on myself in the next couple days along with a few other goodies I've had stored in the garage for the last month. Ordered 9/30, delivered 11/9. 40 days...not too shabby.

Finally got her Friday. Very pleased with the color.

My Color choice too . . . but my allegiance to my NAVY Family has me yearning for the "battleship" Grey clear coat, so I can replace the black fenders later with the deepest (ocean looking) blue + painting the optional Mopar Rail/steps the same color blue . . . see where I'm going? Haze Grey & Underway! Go Navy.

Mine just arrived at Dealership and was unloaded, of course Iowa likes there salt.
Resized_20191111_141602_1531.jpeg
Are you sure it's salt? I thought it was hydrochloric acid, sea salt, or perhaps it's potassium hydroxide and bleach or something. It's nasty crap, that's for sure. It's pitted the crap out of our driveway, too. You can tell where a vehicle sits on the driveway by the pitting from the crap on the roads.
