Topper Tent Mid-Size V2 with a Rebel Off Road XPLOR rack

Has anyone here used a Topper Tent Mid-Size V2 with their Gladiator? I want to use it with my @RebelOffRoad XPLOR rack so I can still stretch out sleeping (tailgate down) and keep the dogs in the truck bed with me. I already have rolls of magnetic sheet material to close off the sides and temporary fiberglass reinforced wall panel for the roof.

I thought I would ask before I $300 on this thing. Is there a better alternative?

I don't have one, but a friend has one for his short bed Taco and he likes it.

I just installed one last week with my SoftTopper for my trip to AOAA in Pennsylvania over the weekend. it worked out well. It took me about 3 minutes each night to setup and would have been quicker with a hardtop. The soft top version uses the same zipper as the rear window so there was a few extra minutes to attach the Topper Tent to the soft top. I should have taken pics at camp but never thought of it, these are from the initial install on Thursday night.
