Towing with bigger tires

I have a base max tow with 17" tires. I'm thinking of buying a set of 18" overland take offs. Will running bigger tires decrease the towing capacity? Null my new car warranty?

17” is the rim size as well as the 18”. What is the actual tire size? If it’s just the stock Overland tire size you will be fine.

Research the price of 18" rim tires compared to the 17" rims you have now, it may change your mind.

IIRC, the 17" rims use a 75 aspect tire and the 18" rims use a 70 aspect tire so, the height of tire is the same. If you use a 75 aspect tire on the 18" rims, then the tire will be taller. Shouldn't affect your towing capacity or void any factory warranty. Now, if you go crazy and buy some 35-37" tires, yes, your towing capacity will be affected only from a standpoint of getup-n-go ability, unless you re-gear to 4.53(?) or 4.88.

Thanks for the feedbacks. Yes, it looks like I should be fine; not much of a difference in total diameter(31.5 now vs 32.1 for the new one) per a website my bro found for me.

So I pulled the trigger on a set of wheels and tires with tpms, and lug nuts, from a 2021 G. The guy was nice enough to sell them to me for $550 since he no longer need them. He upgraded his shoes with 20s and huge tires!! With a lift of course.
