I missed out on the black and white JT's. I have a 2 in Gobi, 3 red, 1 blue, 2 green concept Gladiator's and 3 white JLU. I have few other Jeep Matchbox and Hot Wheels, when I see one that I don't have I try to buy one. A cheap hobby for a change..?
A friend of mine keeps a eye out for them for me. He collects different Matchbox / Hot Wheels cars movie based ones. So I look out for them for him. His will probably go to his grand kids when they get older.

I've got a green matchbox "17 Gladiator" but I've not seen the black and white one. When was it issued?

The black and white Jeep Gladiator was part of a 6 car Jeep set from matchbox. I believe in 2019. I was only able to get 4 of the 6. Pretty popular set. The package says '05 Jeep Gladiator.

Don't forget that Greenlight diecast has a slew of Gladiator's coming out soon. Most likely this fall. I have pre-ordered every one so far. They have Rubicon, sport and Mojave test shots floating around.
I also found the green Hot Wheels one a few weeks ago. I'm caught up.
Start looking for this Hot wheels version real soon:
