Well.... I won't bore you with the rest. I'm sure you get the idea from this sampling.
And, yes. I have issues![]()
Holeeeeey shitballs! I used to work on and sell these glorious things at my dad's shop back in the late 70s early 80s. Always loved it when one came in for repair. That cast aluminum deck was the only mower that could take the abuse any pro gardeners threw at it, Toros weren't bad but they were twice as expensive with plastic wheels and they had either a worthless Tecumseh or a Briggs with the galactic turd side recoil. Loved how absolutely simple these were. Lost count of how many of them went through multiple engines, usually a bent crank. This thing was the end of an era, Home Depot started selling low quality Murrays for cheaper than OUR cost for a new engine alone. Commercial users just bought them and tossed when they broke, no repairs needed in a disposable world. That right there is a trip down memory lane, and a good one. Thanks!Yep, I even restored my very first lawn mower(no it has never seen grass again):

There are still some landscapers running these around be me. My guess is that the deck allowed such an easy re-power.Holeeeeey shitballs! ).I love how diverse everyone's toy/hobby interest is!I dabble in all kind of things, I like 1/32 model farm equipment and 2A related stuff in particular.
I think I speak for everyone here in saying the best mod is a wife that puts up with our shit. There are still some landscapers running these around be me. My guess is that the deck allowed such an easy re-power.
As for this one.... it now leads a pampered life in one of our spare bedrooms. (my wife is an angel for putting up with me and my crap).
Here are some of my Hamilton's. 1) current Ventura automatic 2) 1969 2001 space odyssey 3) a 1959 white gold 11 diamond, this one has the finest watch movement made in 1959, sold for over 3 times what a Swiss watch sold for at the same time. 4) are two of their cheaper models from the 50's, just love the mid-century modern look. The whole reason I collect them is their case designs. We all have are special/unique hobbies
