Trail project at 13,000'

Today we took a group of volunteers up to work on a trail that is used for the High Lonesome 100 mile race that is in a couple of weeks. Yes, they run through the mountains for a 100 mile, much of it above tree line. Since there were no bushes or trees that high, I set up my private bathroom, the ladies appreciated it!

I don't understand people who ain't being chased and just run anyway, but that's cool.

It's tough enough to breathe at 13,000' feet, but I can't imagine running a 100-mile race at that altitude. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Running 100 miles @ 13.5K!! I’ve hunted and packed elk from 9500 before and that’s rough, granted usually not to far from ATV. That’s nothing to running that high.
