Anyone know if I will still be able to clamp down my tonneau cover in the rail system after installing the mopar trail rail system? Probably should've asked before spending $350 on the trail rail system. Might need to find some sort of clamp/adapter for the trail rail system that works with the tonneau cover? Hope not but seems likely.

Which tonneau cover? I have the Mopar soft tri-fold and it and the trail rails peacefully co-exist.
I don't have the mopar I purchased the Tyger cover which is much cheaper but I'm really happy with it.

I also learned I will need to shave out a little bit of the bed-liner around the pre-drilled holes. Man I'd be lost without these forums

My Rubicon came with the factory Trail Rails. I purchased the Tyger tri-fold cover specifically because it came with hardware for the Trail Rail system as another mounting option.
It's been working great since June. Have been through auto car washes a number of times and no leaks.

In all my searching for covers, I've noticed a lot of companies ask whether or not you have that rail system because they will offer slightly different hardware. The worst cast scenario is that the clamps you currently have don't work, and you will have to get clamps that fit the rail. They must be out there somewhere because everyone is doing it. It's just unfortunate you did cover first and rails second. Ideally it should be the other way around.

Shit! I think I threw those out with the box the tonneau cover came in! ?

I found the clamp brackets on the Tyger website and of course they only had 2 in stock so now I have to wait for them to restock. $17/bracket. I wish my wife would've put them where I asked cause for $210 the cover came with 4 now I have to spend another $68 for something that was included with the cover but oh well.

I just installed the GatorFX cover, right after installing the Mopar trail rail system. They will both fit, but the lip of the cover almost completely covers the trail rail connectors. It will make it very hard to use them. I'm a bit disappointed because I asked Gator in advance before buying the cover and the trail rail. They technically answered correctly, but if I had know the Gator cover made the trail rails almost inaccessible, I wouldn't have bought the trail rails.

Thanks everyone. All good. Forgot to reply a while ago. Definitely sucked to have to rebuy the clamps but works great and for the price of the Tiger cover which comes with clamps for those with and without the trail rail system . Just don’t throw out the extra clamps like I did (really my wife did?) by accident.
