Wonderful trip, sounds so cool. I love Colorado, especially that area near Ouray. Where do you get "official" TAT maps? On-x and/or Gaia, or are there paper versions? I'm old, I like to have my paper maps—

I towed my offroad trailer on Engineers Pass last summer. Very doable as long as you stay focused on not having to turn around (U-turns not great on many trails when towing).I didn't take it over Engineer or Cinnamon simply because I didn't want to get into a situation where it would make it difficult for someone to get around me going the other way. I had planned to go up Ophir Pass, too, but it said that trailers were not supposed to go up there -- and we had already cleared camp that day. The next time I go, I'll leave the trailer at camp and go over it.
My TAXA had zero problems on any of the stuff we went over. The thing is a beast.
You'll do about 200 miles per day at a casual pace (usually). Some buddies and myself are looking for a fall trip and this sounds good. Can you tell me how long this trip took you and if you just drove like crazy or was it a casual paced trip?
Paper maps are kinda useless on trails that are not roads. There are two places online that sell GPS routes online. I bought mine from a website called, "GPS Kevin". You can get the package that incuses both paper and GPS maps: https://www.gpskevinadventurerides.com/trans-america-trailWonderful trip, sounds so cool.
