I am also in the market for a bed cover. I’m looking forward to everyone’s replies . I might be asking too much, but I’d like one that:
1. Locks
2. Folds up neatly when I have larger items in the back
3. Can be driven when folded up. (Preferably without obstructing my view)

are there any out there?

also, while I have your attention, any thoughts on the best after market bed liners? I’m thinking of getting a bed rug but need something for the side and back walls.

I love this forum.

I had one on my last truck. Overall it was a good cover. My main dislike was that the tailgate can’t be closed while the cover is locked in place. You have to open the tonneau, then close the tailgate, then close the cover. Also the sides of the cover are held in place by Velcro, so after you roll it out, you need to walk around the truck and run your hand over the side to seal the Velcro. I never had any problems with either of these minor gripes. They were just slight annoyances. They wouldn’t stop me from recommending this cover. I think these things are kind of the norm for soft roll up covers.

I am pretty sure Rugged Ridge is part of the same company as Truxedo. Truxedo is using the Rugged Ridge brand to market to off-road Jeep owners, The Rugged Ridge soft roll up cover appears to be exactly the same as the lo-pro, except made from a soft top like material instead of vinyl. You might want to check that offering out, I think the cloth material looks a lot nicer.

I chose to order a BAK revolver for my gladiator, mainly because I it has T slots in the side rails for adding bike / ski racks, and because the tailgate can close while the cover is locked. It costs double what a soft roll up does, though. I almost bought the rugged ridge, but since I have a family of four that skis / snowboards a lot, the ability to mount a rack over the bed was worth the extra cost to me.

I had a Truxedo LoPro on a Dodge Ram and I loved it. Easy to install, clamp-on installation (no holes to drill), good material, stayed tight with no big sags, it didn't leak at all, and looked clean and, well, low profile.

I liked it so much I bought another for the next truck.

If I hadn't bought the factory tonneau for the JT, I'd buy the LoPro again.

My problem with my hard trifold was the frame pieces that attached cramped in on the bed making it less useful IMO. This one also has frame pieces that cramp in on it...also it has Velcro which wares out quickly (in my experience) when exposed to a lot of sun. For just a little more you could get a Mopar roll up that is just as low profile, has no brackets that encroach on bed space, and locks when the tailgate is closed. You could also get a traditional trifold bed cover off Amazon for $180 that won’t encroach on bed space, but doesn’t necessarily lock when the tailgate is closed.

I recently got a used Mopar roll up and am in love with it.

Just my $0.02

Truxedo Lo Pro. I put them on everything. If your tailgate locks you can't get at the releases. Unless you have a knife, and cut the crap out of it.
