Hello, Everyone!

First time ever posting on a forum, so I really have no idea what I'm doing! Hope I'm getting this right.

I got my Gladiator Sport S with manual transmission in December and have been checking out lots of posts even before that. Lots of great info, but I'm having trouble finding some specific info anywhere.

I need a set of side steps... actually, my wife needs a set of side steps!

I like the Quadratec QRC side armor with steps Quadratec QRC Side Armor with Step for 20-23 Jeep Gladiator JT | Quadratec. There are several customer photos of these on the website and I really like them.

I'm also considering the Tyger star strider due to the lower step, but I haven't been able to find any pictures of these installed on a gladiator other than the one marketing photo on their website that looks like it may have the steps photoshopped onto the gladiator backwards! Looks like the longer step is in the rear. Seems like it would be in the front. Does anyone have these steps? If so, how do you like them? Would anyone have photos to share?

Tyger website: TYGER Star Strider fit 2020-2025 Jeep Gladiator JT

Amazon: Amazon.com: Tyger Auto Star Strider Running Boards Compatible with 2020-2025 Jeep Gladiator JT | TG-SR2J74958 | Side Step Rails Nerf Bars : Automotive

The Tyger striders are also a lot less expensive than the Quadratec. Tyger has the star armor, but the step seems a good bit smaller than the step on the quadratec QRCs.

Thanks!

If your lifted would be good options if not ahh..too much drag to catch on stuff on trails.
I would also think that there may be drilling and marking required which if you don't matching perfectly is going to be a real bummer to get correct if ya mess up. Just saying. At any rate good luck. Could always just leave the door off and Dukes of Hazard that Jeep like Daisy Duke .🤭

Welcome to this forum. I have similar Quadratech sliders on mine and have tested them against Pennsylvania’s big rocks numerous times and they hold up well. They did start to show surface rust almost immediately though and I had to repaint them but every time I scrape up the frame or skids I just hit it with Rustoleum flat black paint from a spray can and did the same for the sliders. For my choice I like the smooth sliders vs. the lower steps but keep in mind if you lift your Jeep the step might not be low enough for what you want.

Hey, Guys.

Thanks for the comments. I went with the quadratec qrc's last week. Caught them on a great sale because quadratec was celebrating the Eagles superbowl win! Got them installed and they look great! Having the step outside of the truck is just enough to help my wife get in and out. I do prefer the one level step over the drop steps too. I'm really hoping they hold up well and don't rust... that would be disappointing as they look great for now! Did yours rust quickly because of salt, or did the just rust?

Thanks again for the comments. Have a good one!

Mine came somewhat beat up in shipping, and the surface rust stared almost immediately on the flat step area and around the welds. They didn’t even have an opportunity to get in the salt. Like I mentioned though, not too big of a deal to me because I also paid a fair price like you did so they were not expensive and I had already planned to scrape them up. Rattle can rustoleum for the win every time. 😁
