Throwing this up here for future reference since I didn’t find any similar posts.

Went to start my Jeep this morning and it wouldn’t start. The dash lights went on, noticed a red light on left side, and some message about service in the center. Check engine light went on also.

Tried a second time and it turned on but check engine remained constant. After a few startups the light went away but I scanned it and came back with code U0100.

Im calling my dealer and having not looked at and will provide updates here.

For reference I have a 2021 Sport S Max Tow w/4,500 miles. Bought it new over a year ago. No issues at all until now. I checked battery voltage and everything seemed fine from that end.

Update: dealer advised not to worry since the vehicle cleared the code on its own and it hasn’t repeated. I don’t drive much but I’ll put extra miles to see if it happens again.

Happened again this morning. Started after the third attempt and code cleared after cycling through a few times. Battery tested fine at 12.7. We’ll see if the dealer takes it in this time.
