UPDATE:

I contacted RaceTrac about the incident via email, and here is the reply:

Jeep Gladiator Unintentional paint test crick

Chirp! Chirp!

I guess a fuel leak and customer concerns are not important enough for a reply.

BTW.. paint still looks ok, and the gas smell is finally gone from the interior.

Was being sarcastic.
Fire investigators are intelligent, trained, professional people. Their conclusions and reports are final words critical to many other entities.

Sparks, flames, lit cigarettes, leaking gas hoses, faulty nozzles, idiot moron station employees, all are things that lead to death and destruction in certain combinations.

The problem with many employees in recent years is the attitude "I showed up, where's my pay, don't I get some benefits? I'm here."

We owned a business years ago and the biggest issue we had wasn't customers, wasn't suppliers, wasn't the landlord - it was employees. Otherwise, we loved the customers (all but one and there was no satisfying that woman even with free stuff and even after it was proven the fault was not ours)
