I am considering an upgrade to my soundbar speakers and plan on going with some 6x9's or 6.5" component speakers. It seems to me that both would be better vs. stock but wondering if anyone has experience that would help me make up my mind? I would be running these off an aftermarket radio and I would like to get some more clarity and midrange from this upgrade. I am running a 10" sub under a rear seat so I am already getting good low end from that.

I replaced my soundbar speakers with Kicker 6x9's and the lower dash with 6x5's. Added a Kenwood amp and it was a vast improvement. Ok for about a year but wanted more, just replaced my headunit with a Stinger Heigh10 and the sound is even better. There seems to be a clarity in sound that I wasn't getting with OEM radio. The guys who installed the Stinger think I need to add a sub now to round out the sound even more. If you're looking at the Stinger check their site, it's on sale.

I would run the sound bar speakers with an amp instead of an aftermarket radio. It's well worth it for the improved clarity and more volume.
