The Gladiator Sport S comes stock with 245/70R17 all season tires. My use of the vehicle will be almost entirely on road and when I go off-road it will be on the beach where I deflate my tires if necessary. The rims are 7.5 inches wide

I think the tires that come stock are a bit small and I want to swap them out for 285/70R17 tires (either all season or all season/all terrain). I assume this size will fit that rim but would like to confirm

Also would like to know recommendations on tire brand and model. Most important to me is a quiet highway ride (because as I stated off road I am deflating in the sand so I don't need a very rugged tire)

Thanks

You can go to 285/70-R17 or 33"x10.50" tires with no problems.

If you have a max tow you can go to 35" tires with no concerns on the road.

Oops, AT's are probably what you're looking for. Something that has the snow rating.

Do you think I can do a 75 as opposed to a 70?

You may not want to go too tall if you have 3.73 gears.

Rubicon, Mojave, and max tow have 4.10 gears which are better for 33" tires. If you do a search, you will find that most people going taller than that get 4.56, 4.88 etc.

I love the falken wildpeak at tires . Great highway manners, snow , rain etc. I had them on my fj and will continue to use them. previously owned the ko2 tires and I feel these are way better . Pricey but worth it imho.
