I have 3.5" Clayton Overland + and 37 Mickey Thompsons Baja Boss ATs. I am getting vibration in the cabin. This is my first Jeep and first truck with bigger than stock tires. I am not sure how much (if any) vibration is expected in the cabin. I had the tires re-balanced over the weekend at @Discount Tire but still feel it.

Tires are fairly new with about 1,000 miles on them since install.

First, is it normal to have small amount of shake/vibration with bigger tires? If not, how should I go about troubleshooting what's causing it.

No vibration is not normal. I never had an issue like your describing until recently. Was the wheels and/or tires I had just installed. Put a different wheel and tire on and poof no more vibration.

now question is has it always been vibrating? Possible something is loose or other source of vibration.

Should mention if the tire(s) have defect no amount of balancing will tix the issue. At best it may move around the problem ie different mph where it is felt.

Can you swap your old ones on for a minute and see how they feel?

Let me explain what you are dealing with
I have been turning a wrench from age 12 or so
I have worked in many repair shops over the last 50 years and have seen the good the bad and the ugly
As far a tire balancing I have my own coats balance machine
I have always had my tires mounted for free put balanced them myself
About 10 years ago I got lazy and had them balance my new tires (that was a mistake)
Had to remove all the wights and re-balance the hoops. ( we call tires HOOPS )
I took back the wights and got my $60 back for there balancing
About 2 years ago I purchase new tires for my Tundra and told them NO BALANCING
I was told by law they had to balance the tires put they would not charge me
On the way to work the next day I could not drive over 55 mph because the truck vibrated so bad
Put them on my balance machine and they where all out of balance. Some as much as 3.5oz (That's a lot)
What I am trying to say is If you have a vibration at free way speeds the hoops are probably out of balance for one reason or anther
Just because you just had all your hoops balanced by a so called tire shop will not guaranty a perfect balance
Alignments. Now that's another story. I align my 2020 Willys and 2018 Rubicon my self
Hope this helps

Thanks all. I have an appointment with the local 4x4 shop to have it checked out.
