VIN Tracking Down

I've been in "shipping status" for 2 weeks with no ETA. The dealer confirmed today that the tracking system had a data breech and they can't see anything.

Very frustrating that there is no knowledge by Jeep, or the dealer, of even a remotely accurate timeline... I ordered 2/17 for reference, this week was week 9.

I didn't read this very well before. If it never had an eta once it "shipped" doesn't mean it actually was in transport.

This was March 15th. Dealer confirmed it was just sitting there.

The problem is my dealer did have an eta then it vanished when the system went down.

Data breech, or it's just "down" or it was attacked? 3 different things.
Frankly, I never thought it was all that accurate anyway - you pretty much know when it's scheduled for production, but once it's through, it can sit for days or weeks, and there are no details, then once it's shipped, there are no details other than they can give a best guess "ETA".
I've seen people sit with a built truck waiting for days or weeks in some other status.
How did our parents or grandparents ever manage....... it will be here when it's done and it arrives LOL.

But seriously, it's only semi-accurate. There are many reasons it could sit at some other stage once it's off the line. Quality control may find some boo-boo that takes minutes, hours, or days to resolve.

@Jonnyroams My update today from Jeep Chat correlates with what you were told:

Outbound Transportation provider that consolidates all the North America in-transit and shipping details is experiencing system outages as of April 14th.

I guess I wasn't getting this before because mine wasn't in the shipping stage until yesterday.

No man. Really hoping when the ETA system comes back up, I have an ETA. I swear I'm bipolar right now. If it actually was in transit and I knew there date it should arrive I'd be much better.

Ordered mine 2/11 and on 2/23 got an email saying ETA of 3/30 and still don't have it . Called Jeep last week and got the " it's in transit " response and my salesman said the system was hacked but had one show up out of the clear blue that never showed in transit . Guess i'll get a call when it shows up .
