I have the Hauk tailgate lettering and love it! The emblems are only about 1/8" thick but stand off enough to know they're not decals. Install is super easy with their supplied template. But after seeing this thread, wish I had done vinyl first!Got any more pics from different angles of the tailgate? I’ve been going back and forth on doing the black Hauk or waiting for their red version of the emblem.
Good to see a fellow FL’er on here!
I just wasn’t sure if the black would stand out enough against the black vinyl. What I’d really like to do is find the person that owns the Gladiator done by America’s Most Wanted 4x4. I love the red on black look of that tailgate emblem.I have the Hauk tailgate lettering and love it! The emblems are only about 1/8" thick but stand off enough to know they're not decals. Definitely a different emblem. All the letters are larger than the Hauk and the G and R are more pronounced. The Hauk letters come with protective plastic on one side to protect the finish. It would be fairly easy to spray the sides red...another thing I wish I had thought of (although I'm going blue for an accent color I think)!I just wasn’t sure if the black would stand out enough against the black vinyl. it looks a lot like the Hauk emblem but I think it’s a custom 2 layer design. To me, it’s not Hauk because you can see that the G and R are bothmore exaggerated and the emblem eta elf seems to be a bit taller.
The red tailgate is the Hauk, the silver one is a phot from AMW4x4.
Just need to find that owner and find out how I get that emblem!Definitely a different emblem. All the letters are larger than the Hauk and the G and R are more pronounced. That looks awesome! Care to PM me some closer head on and angled shots?I wrapped my Hauk letters with red reflective & then added black reflective over top
Man that looks really good! Well done sir.I wrapped my Hauk letters with red reflective & then added black reflective over top
My friend owns a sign business & he did it for me.. now that Hauk offers the letters in different colours I would probably just use the red & add the black letters on top next time as it was A difficult processThat looks awesome! Care to PM me some closer head on and angled shots?
Which vinyl wraps did you use (name, model # etc). So, just so I understand after you wrapped the letters in the red you laid some of the black over top and then what, just used a razor to cut along all the edges so the vinyl didn’t wrap around any edges?
You mean to say you’d buy a red and black set and stack them?My friend owns a sign business & he did it for me.. now that Hauk offers the letters in different colours I would probably just use the red & add the black letters on top next time as it was A difficult process
I would buy the red letters & do a vinyl overlay in black or whatever colour you preferYou mean to say you’d buy a red and black set and stack them?

I need this emblem in my life. If one was sold, I would buy it.I wrapped my Hauk letters with red reflective & then added black reflective over top
