So glow plug “engine preheating wait to start” light comes on at start. Engine starts fine, I even wait for little glow plug light to go off by the water separator light on upper right corner of fuel level gaug. The I start, it starts right up, but the engine pre heater warning comes on in middle of the dash screen and goes right off. The engine continues to warm up and no issues. The instructions in manual tells us it does the opposite, it reads The light will come on the go off and then vehicle will start. Idk but that is definitely not how it works, unless the little glow plug curly wire light is what they are saying, and the big warning on dash is just letting me know it’s still warming up. Any advice or knowledge on this..

The curly line as described, I am guessing that the light that comes on and goes off. That is how all the diesels I have owed work. Water separator messages have been different between Ford GM and VW and depend on OAT. Jeep diesel owners can give more info for sure.
