Hey guys, recently added a Clayton Overland+ 3.5 lift to my truck and need automatic steps for the family.

I think the two best options are Amp Research XL‘s or the Rock Slide Engineering steps. Both are over $2000 which is pretty pricey.

Curious if there’s a way to find them cheaper now or if I should wait for Black Friday. If I wait, which place do you think would have the best discounts, based on history.

Thanks!

I have had both. Currently have RSE. They are def tougher than the AMP's but if you aren't going to be bouncing off of any rocks I would personally go with the AMP. I got the RSE's for around $1000 off so figured I would try them. Overkill for my needs.

Depends who you ask
Everyone seems to have similar pricing on the RSE steps and all seem to have similar discounts at the same time. Expect 15 to maybe 20 percent off for Black Friday sales. Might be able to get same right now by calling Northridge and Quadratech. I find it never hurts to ask. There may be a local 4X shop around you that might be worth asking them as well.

The RSE's are probably overkill for me but I don't really like the AMP steps not to mention that every time I looked at them, no one, including AMP, had them available.

I do wheel my JTR occasionally so like the construction of the RSE's and they just continue to work no matter what I throw at them. They are more of a rock slider and if I was more hard core with my JTR, I would have opted for the armor add on. I know several people that hard core wheel a Gladiator with RSE's and they have not had any issues with them.

If the Rough Country steps were out when I put steps on mine, I may have considered them.
