Was gonna ask why you don't put them on your stock wheels, but looks like you got an overland!

Edit:
Or is it an HA?

Honestly, I just don’t think that’s a good place to take this board. Look, I don’t know who it is or if they’re on here or, frankly, if they bought through the deal, but I would assume they did. As for me, I bought 5 and I‘m more likely than not going to put those on a spare Set of rims that I have on an inbound Gobi Mojave, but if my deal falls apart or I lost my job or for whatever reason I determine to sell these; it wouldn’t be wrong.

Sure, it’s profiteering, but it’s (mostly) a free country and this person didn’t seem to break any law that I'm aware of.

As for profiteering, who here hasn’t made money in the stock market, Jeep parts, Jeeps, antique auctions, houses or whatever you’ve got. For fact, perhaps one of the largest threads in this forum is about buying Jeeps at under invoice and just how many posts are there in there about people wanting to buy their new one low to sell the old one high.

Good catch, and I'm not trying to flame anyone. I know I’ve even called out some profiteering in the past, sometime / somewhere. It was usually because I had a beef with someone or my own sour grapes for missing the deal. Still, I just think this is a better board when we share info and have fun without making It personnal unless it really needs to be, and this doesn’t seem like that IMO.

Agreed. I see no issue with someone buying at $80 each and selling $212 each. That’s still better than anywhere you can get them now so I don’t see the issue. Idk maybe I’m wrong. It just doesn’t bother me what other people do with their possessions or money.

Agree also. Don’t buy from them if you don’t like price. But we can’t judge either way.

Believe me when I say I understand capitalism, supply and demand, etc.

For example, I don't really understand why so many people complain about rising prices on the things they enjoy. People, companies, whomever can only charge as much as someone is willing to pay. That is a free market.

If there is a monopoly or unfair practices that gouge prices on necessities, that is something altogether different.

I guess my problem on these fire sale types deals is that it just feels a little scalper-ish if someone bought these for the sole reason of selling them. That took an opportunity away from someone that otherwise could not afford what appears to be a great upgraded tire.

Is it illegal? No. Is it still wrong? .... enh, maybe? Should we grab pitchforks and match to his house? Absolutely not.

As a toddler would say, "It just feels icky."
