Hola, are you wanting an off road truck to tow occasionally or a tow vehicle to off-road occasionally? Or are you needing a daily to maybe off road and occasionally tow?Thank you for sharing MemphisMississipp. Frontal area of my TT is 56 sq ft. I believe JTR and JTM are both spec'd for 55 sq ft. I've been watching videos of those towing their 6500 lb 26' TT with JTM and another with their JTR with 2" lift with 35's across 1100 miles with not to much of an issue except the infamous 3.6 stuggle when "going up hills". I pull the TT no more than 100 - 200 miles in a day to get to camp site. I would say my TT is no more than 6000 lbs when loaded. I pull it with empty tanks since we go to full hook-up sites. If I went with max tow then I would want bigger tires, which would then reduce towing capacity, so I'm thinking (hoping) JTR would fit my needs.
Jeep Gladiators and wranglers fit so many wants….but rarely a need
I have been in a wrangler (now gladiator) for 30 years, lesson from this experience is only get one if you have another vehicle or two, so you can truly enjoy the good times with the bad.
