Anyone here run into trouble with tires sticking out a bit from the fender?

The law's specifics state.... "All such devices shall be as wide as the tires behind which they are mounted and extend downward at least to the center of the axle."

Not planning anything crazy, just going to a one inch wider wheel with a slightly bigger tire.

Curious if anyone here in WA/OR has ever had any grief over it.

Eastern Washington. Yes, on my TJ with 33's:surprised:
WSP, think he just wanted to check my Jeep. No ticket, but gave me the same song about centerline of axle BS. I have a stock Ford 350 SD that has more tire from centerline of axle then the TJ on 33's.

Have not had any problems with my JLUR on 35's with 1.5 spacers.

I have 35x12.5" and have no issues. Been up & down I-5, over cascade passes, over to the peninsula. Drive a byway (542) almost daily and not a single issue as of yet.
