Northeastern Argentina is a remote area that is seldomly visited by those who overland the Pan American highway as it is on the other side of the continent.

But we had heard so much about the area, we decided we had to see it for ourselves.

In this video we take our Jeep Gladiator to a remote national park in far northeastern Argentina and are amazed that we actually drove to where capybara live. This section of our journey which took place in September 2024 was pretty incredible.

This was UNREAL. We drove our Jeep to the largest waterfalls in the entire world! We were blown away by this experience and caught it all on camera.

Not only did we drive to Argentina to see the falls, but we drove across into Brazil to see the falls from their perspective. There is a HUGE DEBATE as to which country has the better IGUAZU FALLS experience. In this video we show you both perspectives so you can make your own call.

Sometimes when you are overlanding internationally you happen to chance upon AMAZING finds like this that you had no idea were there. We had a blast! Also experienced the famous Jeep "Death Wobble" on this stretch and had to deal with it at a shop where we didn't speak the language. So much happened in this video. Give it 5 minutes and you'll probably be cracking up.

No. Sadly I just saw this. Our life has been a whirlwind. We are WAY behind in our videos, but yes. DAUNTLESS is currently in storage in Montevideo awaiting shipment to Africa. We are living like vagabonds out of backpacks currently. We're in Guanajuato, Mexico as of this writing. We won't be reunited with our rig until mid January 2026 in Capetown South Africa if all goes according to plan. We do plan on being in the States September through December 2025 running around the country in our old school Jeep Wrangler setup. We'll be visiting family and friends there and maybe stopping at a few events along the way. ~ Eric

Just watched the previous episode to the one above and agree that Chile is a very beautiful country. It was amazing that you found an electrical guru to trouble shoot your shunt issue and fix it.

Hey Eddie! So glad you got to experience Patagonia! What an amazing place right? Love the photo and wow.. just look at that view! We have some amazing memories. We hit a MAJOR MILESTONE! We made it to the southern terminus of the Pan-American Highway, the longest motor-able road in the world. Our overlanding journey around the world continues, and we have a lot of fun in this video.

This is the Carretera Austral, one of the world's most infamous roads. It is located in a remote section of Patagonia in southern Chile.

In this video we encounter our most challenging military / police checkpoint on our journey so far, the most amazing wild camp we've ever been to in over 12 years of full-time vehicle based travel, a failed electrical system where we had to do a trail fix in one of the most remote regions of the earth, and the longest single travel day we've ever had on our entire journey.

- What happened to Dauntless‘ oil leak?
- What cell service are you using? I tried using an eSIM last time I was down there but didn’t have much luck.

Interesting, I took Grahams class at Expo several years ago but on our last trip to the Sahara (Algeria) we were informed ahead of time that we had to give our passports to the soldiers at each check point and stay in our Land Cruiser…. It probably happened 30 times in the 6 weeks we were there and I never got used to it.

Hey Eddie! That wild camp was incredible. There is a part of me too that wants to return but with all systems functional. It was very trying and exhausting having all of that hang over us during this time that was only supposed to be spectacular, but that's what makes it overlanding right? You are correct, it is SUCH a beautiful and amazing place.

As far as DAUNTLESS' oil leak, no clue. I don't know if it was pressure or weather or what. But I cleaned it off and couldn't replicate it. But the oil levels were fine, and I could not for the life of me find it. I do daily checks, so I'm not terribly concerned about "being surprised" but there is no question something leaked, but it was nothing catastrophic.

As far as cell service, during this part of our journey our cell phones had a Claro Argentina E-SIM package that we would just renew the roaming online. (still have it as of this writing lol) we also carry a puck called Sky Roam which we carry with us that we can add data to as needed, and we have Starlink as well.

As far as handing over our passports to anyone in Africa. I'm mentally not ready for that, but I will do as is recommended by those who know. Thanks for the tip and update on that.

Conflict, Caves, and Uncertainty. This was one of the MOST CHALLENGING sections of our drive around the world so far, and also one of the most beautiful. We don't sugarcoat the journey and we don't hold anything back.
