Oh Crap... Today we wanted to take our samples to the mountain to take some nice photos. When we reached the top of the mountain, we realized that we didn't bring the Torx... We couldn't twist the door screws with the Allen Wrench.
Whatever... We still have a few 3D printed samples, which we expect to get next Monday, and we’ll see the results then.（Yeah, that's me, a fool who makes stupid mistakes...)

I like what you’re doing with the pipe size. Personally, I would much prefer horizontal interior pipes like the Mopar doors. I know you’re trying to create your own unique look, but still think all horizontal piping goes best with the lines of the truck. Just my 2

Excuse my ignorance but can someone who uses tube doors please explain to me why you use/like them. I feel like I’d just run no doors and really don’t understand their purpose. A half door, especially with an upper, is more versatile and looks better (imo).

With that said, I like the look of these a lot more than others I’ve seen. @Exceed Fabrication it looks like they protrude out quite a bit. While I like the look, from a functional standpoint on tight trails, it’s not ideal

We noticed the problem, and when we got it, we found that the tube was sticking out too much that it gave my leg an unsafe feeling. We're going to reduce the reach.

In fact, we have also thought about the idea of arm rests, and we wanted to take it a step further. We found a supplier of PE materials. Their main business is anti-collision buffering for roller coaster seats and amusement equipment.
We are trying to use this material on SD1. On amusement equipment that is exposed to the sun and rain every day, this material can maintain durability for at least three years. I think this is enough for SD1.
This is another design we made. There will be a steel tube inside that is about the same height as the arm rest on the JT original door. If you are driving on the road, you can put your elbows here.
If we were to make PE wrapping, it would probably be on this tube, and there would still be an expanded tube on the outside for extra protection and grip.

This is pretty neat. Love seeing folks share the R&D side of their product development on here.

We are considering making a storage bag that can wrap the tube door...It can be fixed on the tube door when using it to provide a more closed experience. It can also be opened and turned into a storage bag when the tube door needs to be stored.
But our current internal shape has not yet been determined, and I am not sure whether our structure allows for such protection, so I cannot promise that this idea will be realized on SD1.
BTW, do you think storage bags are necessary? I know many people like to use hinges nailed to the wall to store original car doors, but how do you usually store the tube doors?

I get it, I will decide whether to have the storage bag as standard based on our final cost, and if the SD1 ends up costing too much to produce, I will make it optional.
I don't expect to create profits on accessories like storage bags, just that if a lot of people want it, we can provide it

But due to the production cycle, we need to sell this product before summer, and SD1 does not give us much time to ship samples overseas, so we choose this product to be tested by ourselves and domestic JT owners first.

My wife does NOT like no doors, she's basically given up riding in my YJ. Lots of people don't like a gaping hole in the passenger space. Doesn't bug me, but I'm not everyone.

Tube doors preserve a LOT of the visibility benefits of no doors, while providing a sense of enclosure. It's a good combination for some folks.

Come to think of it, I did spend a fair amount of time when I was a kid as a passenger in a Bell 47 or Hiller 12 with no doors. Must have desensitized me.

Hi Todd, I’m glad to see that you are enjoying Jeep with your wife. I also hope that my girlfriend will be more interested in Jeep.
If you are willing to help me test the product, I will contact you again when I have a suitable product that I need to test.
By the way, I also want to talk about it. When I started the EF brand, many people advised me not to reveal where I came from.
They say you should go behind the scenes and make the product, find an American to show it off, and pass yourself off as an American brand, like a lot of people do on Amazon
(In fact I think a lot of people do it stupidly, they don’t even know that Americans are used to describing size and weight in inches and pounds)
Because you know that many people refuse to accept Chinese brands because of the shoddy quality of Chinese products. Pretending that they are local brands will reduce a lot of trouble.
But I don’t think so. I think that first of all, it is difficult for you to completely disguise yourself as an American brand. You can tell whether you are a real American from the scenery in the photo, the license plate, and even your English proficiency.
Rather than spending time on this, why don’t we spend more time on more meaningful things, such as how to create truly valuable products?
I have read a lot of opinions expressed by people on JGF. I know that some people will firmly support American brands. I think this is right. It makes sense to support your own country’s brands and industries at all times.
So if someone says: Kelvin, I’m sorry I won’t buy things made by Chinese people because I love my country and I want to support local brands.
I would say, yeah, it doesn't matter, in China we will also be taught this idea, telling us to support our national industry.
I am proud of my country, but I do not think that my country is superior or worse than other countries. I treat it with a normal heart.
I want to use quality products to compete with brands from anywhere in the world, and strive to win the trust of consumers.
Just like Toyota, Samsung, and DJI, they will impress consumers with their high-quality products and sell them all over the world.
So I firmly believe that a good product can speak for itself. If my product is made with care, people from anywhere in the world can feel it when they get it.
Just as Jeep is an American brand, Tacoma is from Japan, but that doesn't stop me from also liking their design, and it doesn't stop me from liking these trucks. (BTW, I really like the Easter eggs on Jeep and Bronco. I find them very interesting. I’m also thinking about how to incorporate this feeling into my products)
