Weekend Vibes: Thomas Mountain Cheers!

The wife and I just got back from a 2 night 3 day trip to Thomas Mountain In Mountain Center, CA. This may be my new favorite camp. Hauling Base Camp up the mountain was no problem for the JTRD II. The trail was easy. TY @1996XJ and @Matstock4 for your earlier posts On the area.

Weather was near perfect. The first night we had thunder and a sudden cooling but fortunately/unfortunately no rain.

Views were incredible. Anza to the south and Idylwild to the North. We will definitely be making the trip up there again a few more times this year.

We also had a chance to test out our new Iceco dual zone fridge. Theres nothing like a tasty ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwich at a camp site.

That is awesome! We loved this place too and will be coming back when we get a chance. Did you have the place mostly to yourself? our first day up there i seen like one other person and that was it.

We Camped at tool box springs. There was only one other person remotely close to us. Saturday night two others showed up but hardly knew they were even there. I think next time we are going to go a little farther and check out yellow post site 5-8. Can’t wait till it gets cold enough for snow.

Yeah dude those are killer camp sites with amazing views of the valley and night sky you will love it.
