Hello everyone.... I have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon with the tow package. I am a dog groomer and just purchased my first grooming trailer and plan to tow it with the Rubicon. It a 7x12 double axle trailer with a fully loaded weight of around 3800lbs. I already have a primus one brake controller installed but still need to purchase a WDH. I have never towed a trailer before and I'm overwhelmed by the variety of choices when it comes to WDHs so I need all the help that I can get!! I am in Berkeley Springs WV so I'll be dealing with some hills and lots of windy country roads. Can I get some suggestions for the best hitch to get for a newbie to towing..... thanks in advance!!

I would suggest Blue Ox BCW1050

https://www.blueox.com/product/bxw1050-trackpro-standard-shank-7-hole/

Blue Ox brand was recommended to me by a guy who hauls campers for a living from Indiana to wherever. I’ve had 2 of them (different times and different campers - last one was used with gladiator) with no issues. The one above is a bar system and not the chain. Much better in my opinion.

For that small of a trailer, I would consider the Curt friction bar sway system. It's all I use when towing our Rpod (approx 4.5k all loaded up) and I have had zero issues with sway or control.
