Went to visit my parents yesterday, about an hour drive. Drove fine, voltage was good. Woke up to this lovely image this morning.

It’s a losing battle, always ?.No biggie, one of those duster cloths from Target would take care of all that dust on the steering column.
OEM batteries, haven’t changed them out. Usual work commute about 20-25 min each way with occasional hour or so trips around town. Does the outside temperature affect the voltage output that much?A little high, but not out of line given the temperature shown. How old are the batteries? How often and how far is the truck driven?
This was upon startup this morning, it fluctuated between 14.9/15 for about 10 min before I decided to turn it off.Was that while running or before you started it? Have you done any troubleshooting yourself yet? Check for loose connections, etc...?
The system adjusts the output based on demand and charge level of the batteries. Cold batteries require more to charge them. Any heaters (seat, defrost, steering wheel) will increase demand.OEM batteries, haven’t changed them out. Usual work commute about 20-25 min each way with occasional hour or so trips around town. That does provide some relief - the auto seat and steering wheel heaters did come on as well. It does make me a little worried about when it actually gets cold though. 40 degrees and only November is nothing. The system adjusts the output based on demand and charge level of the batteries. As suggested, also a good idea to check for any loose cable connections.
That's perfectly fine for the later models in temps in the 40s or lower.A little high, but not out of line given the temperature shown. How old are the batteries? How often and how far is the truck driven?
There's your answer. You have a 2022 (they modified voltage settings since 2020) and it's 40 degrees. It's a lot harder to get that final 10 to 20 percent charge in a battery when it's 40 degrees out. That does provide some relief - the auto seat and steering wheel heaters did come on as well. Not high for a 2022 at 40 degrees.A little high, but not out of line given the temperature shown. How old are the batteries? How often and how far is the truck driven?
Sure looks like a lovely image to me. 41°?? I’d love to have that down here in Deep South Texas. As for the 15 volts, hardly something to be concerned about. Which of the several ground cable/connections was it?Turns out it was a loose ground cable. Still charged each battery separately and voltage is back around 14.1-14.4.
