Thinking about an axle swap. Is there a market to sell sport s Dana 44s with Yukon 4.88 gears without lockers and only limited slip. Just getting a feel for what I would get for my stockers.
Just a ballpark guess, based on past Wrangler swaps, but each axle might be worth about $1,500. It’s going to be a little hard to find someone desiring to pay that considering how new the Gladiator still is. When people start needing to replace or repair broken or worn out axles, the secondary market for already geared axles may get better. Until then, most will probably just regear their own.
That would be a really stout upgrade! The D44's in the new gen JLR's and JT's are significantly stronger than the JKR's D44 axles, let alone the D30/D35 JK combination.
