But that's not at all what I'm talking about... ?‍♂

I don't have an issue with those, generally speaking.
Yeah, I figured you were talking about the stuff made there, often by using stolen ideas or plans and then sold cheap on Amazon or ebay.
Sometimes they steal a product idea or even the actual specs, make it and sell it cheaper.
The lathe setup I have has a back-story where the guy came up with the idea and plans, and contracted with a Chinese company to make them.
Went fine for a while then he started seeing identical products showing up at other stores - much cheap and more cheaply made but using all of his ideas. They looked identical.
He ended up buying a factory over there to make them.

We have to watch out for certain reproduction parts being designed and made by a Canadian company - manufactured in Chine - really good reproduction parts............. but since the market is so small, it's doubtful the Chinese will steal and copy the idea and try to sell them. Just no mass market like other stuff.

Like I said in the other posts - those specific tail lights -
could be a legit company came up with them and those are the real deal - how do we know?
or it could be someone in China decided to copy an idea and make and sell them directly from China on Amazon.

Everyone jumped on the chinese crap bandwagon - but do we know for a fact you can't buy those through one of the Jeep accessory sellers out there?
Maybe justforjeeps or one of the others sells those and they are ok parts.
