Cleaned up the wheel wells/fender liners. After washing with a pressure washer, I used CD-2. It works great for just about everything plastic, and even metal. Too bad the stuff is discontinued. This stuff works and lasts much longer on black plastic much better than any plastic conditioner from Griot's, Car Guys, Meguar's, Turtle Wax, Mothers, etc. I ordered a can of Griot's Engine Bay Dressing. Hopefully, it's just as good (for $30 a can, it better be).

Looks like your tires are starting to cup, that’s how mine looked and they started getting loud

Yup - pretty badly, too.
Something is worn (shocks, ball joints for example) or the tires are out of balance. (or a pressure problem - under-inflation can cause tire cupping and we know many Jeep people run low pressures. A lot of Jeep folks run underinflated, leading to cupping.)

That's good to know they removed the z-clip. I've already had one warranty replacement for something so stupid. The fix they changed it to was something similar to what I would have done to fix it myself. Thanks for sharing.

Yep. Definitely due for an alignment check. I was going to do it when I put on new tires and wheels (just installed lift kit), but there's plenty of life left in the tires, so I'll just take it in and get it checked.

Added some found jeep stickers to my sticker board. Anyone else do this?
No, but it's a cool idea. I may do it now that I've seen yours.

Not so much what I did to the Jeep itself, but what I did with an accessory.
Last time I used the winch, I hurridly ran the rope back in, not real neatly. It was bunched up enough on the left that it dragged hard when trying to pull rope out, and I was afraid that it might run against the edge of the opening in the bumper.
So I removed the fairlead and the steel plate, reinstalled both as high as the play in the bolt holes would allow, put the fairlead as high as it would go and prevented it from being pulled back down by rope pressure by making aluminum spacers to go between the bolts and the bottom of the holes, holding it up high so no rope should contact the bottom edge of the bumper slot now.
And while I was at it -

Car at bottom of driveway in front of garage, brakes lightly applied ->

Yeah, it's a fair hill up to the road. So the JT sat at the end of the driveway, almost top of the hill, rope extended out until I saw "red" then just a bit more (as the factory first wrap wasn't perfect either)

HAHA - can't get used to the new phone with the camera lens right at the edge of the phone where you're gonna hold it while shooting pics........

Tension, ready to go. Back up to the truck to run the winch and guide the rope in for an even wind if necessary.

Worked like a charm. I had left the hood loose on the car because I suspect the battery is bad.
(the hood release cable handles on these are fragile so I try to not use it too much - 41 year old plastic and all)

Dang, got it up there and now the car won't start so I can put it away. Hey, quite a hill, driveway is long enough........ key on, put 'er in gear, let it coast, release clutch - she's running! Pulled it through the yard around to the back of the garage and back into its stall where I'll do a final charge and check of the car's battery. May be time for a trip to NAPA.

Retired for now!
Yakima Overhaul HD installed today. I will eventually get the sidebars, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere. Just getting ready for camping season!

Purchased Diode Dynamics Stage Series 3" LED Pods for the A-Pillar/Cowl area.

Ran the wiring today and tested them out. Can't actually mount them until the brackets come tomorrow. Ran them to my stock Auxiliary switches though.

Haha, yea that’s my neighbor. Ironically, I had ordered a Ranger Tremor, dealership took delivery two days after I bought my gladiator.
