It was the original 650 CCA battery from the factory. Lasted 3 years 2 months
I have consider aux battery delete but this stuff has so much electronics didn't want to screw something up and replaced the aux back in the early fall
Gotcha. Yea that's my thoughts as well. I wouldn't want to do any damage to the truck by deleting it. Guess I will have to do some research so I know what I'd like to do when then time arises where it needs replacement.

Added a few tie downs to the back. Used the nut for a spacer so they can pivot freely.

What size are those tie downs? I've been thinking about adding a couple of those myself just in case.

I could not get those plastic snap rivets to catch again. Went to Chrysler garage they had them and they tried couldn't get them to catch sooo they gave me screws and clips . ? took the same amount out on the other side and replaced them also to make it match.

Thanks for the tip. I've read going through the fender is the best but there are issues like you stated about the rivets. If you get a chance post a pic of where you had issues with the rivets so we know what area to look for. Thanks

I like the aftermarket dual battery systems that work in the ESS system. I have at least a few years before I need to replace mine but I'll probably look into something like that when the time comes.

If you remove the entire fender assembly without separating the inner from the flare, you just need like a dozen new white ones to reinstall after.

Just great. More white clips needed...lol. I do have more ordered after using what I had on hand for the fender light install. At least I will have them when the time arises where I need them.
How hard is it to access the battery with the fender sitting on the wheel? It won't be in the way?

If you disconnect that one lighting harness, the whole thing comes off and you can set it aside. I haven’t done my batteries yet, but I’m probably on borrowed time.

So it would have to be disconnected in two places correct? I only disconnect in one place when I installed those fender lights. I'm assuming there is another plug behind the headlight area.

Only one connector and it comes completely off, unless you tapped into wires on the fender side, then maybe more difficult.
