I recently got a call from the dealer that i bought my JT from asking if i wanted to trade it in for a newer model.... I'm like hell no; no way am i starting over, even with a good discount.

plus ,I take mine offroad nowadays without a second thought. Babying it because it's new... don't want to go through that again :)

Good luck with your new one!
Thanks. I’m getting older and wanted to ditch the MT and terrible clutch after 50 years of MTs.

Haven’t laid eyes on it either. But logic would state. a longer axle tube would have more leverage against itself and would therefore be more prone to bending under stress than the skinny trac variants. Which means mine would’ve buckled ages ago from the shit I do. I’m willing to bet the wide trac axles have thicker wall tubing. I bet someone somewhere has whacked into one and found out. I’ve only seen tube failures on on non wide trac axles so far as well. Wide trac seems to lose the knuckle ball joints in a heavy hit scenario. Just what I’ve seen so far anyway
I think they’re only 1.5” wider, total. That isn’t enough to cause much more leverage over that distance.

Installed 1.5” Teraflex Leveling Kit today.

I also installed Bilstein B8 5100 shocks last week due to the factory shocks were getting too soft, especially when mountain and highway driving. Much better handling!

My Mojave is getting the Alucab Canopy tomorrow along with the 23zero RTT and 270 awning. Can't wait to see it all together.
It’s a cool set up. One of the guys in the group I camp with has a gladiator on 38s I think with that alucab set up.

I still need the bed use for some truck stuff so it wasn’t an option but def a cool set up

I plan on storing the whole setup with a hoist while not being used. That way I get both worlds.

Hosed the JT off at a car wash not far from work. Got 10 minutes for $5.00. :surprised: The one close to home is 4 minutes for $5.00.
Mine is $15 for way less than 10 minutes. It’s cheaper to use the brushless auto, but it doesn’t get the grime off.

I was paying about $13 a trip to get the beach off on the weekends so I tried a monthly subscription for $35 and they use a ceramic finish. Not perfect but worth the coin if you go there frequently but warning, they will turn you away if you are too muddy.
