Got my front Blacksports mounted. Running on setting 1 front and 2 rear it is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. Got a big wheeling/camping trip Labor Day weekend. I can’t wait to put them through a good test.

I didn't do it, but got it back from the shop with the RockKrawler 4.5" Adventure Pro-X lift installed.
Now my Jeep looks like it skipped leg day on 37s....

Last two pics the driver's rear is sitting on the bump stop.
Sitting in the driveway at home, you can really see it's screaming for 40s -

Guess we'll find out! I'm fully confident it'll be fine. Never had a car that couldn't handle it. 🤪
Yikes is right. I'm at 9,800 miles and getting ready to do my 3rd oil and filter change.

I drive very conservative. 1200 miles every weekend long road trip. If I changed oil like you I'd be doing it twice a month. My oil indicator comes on every two months of ~10k-12k miles. I actually had 3 changes in 37k miles. Regardless I'm following the dash and only exceeding max 3k miles of highway miles. I've ran a prius 60k miles between oil changes before, but that's a different story.

I understand that synthetic oil changes are mostly recommended every 10,000 miles but I did my first at 1,000 for new engine break in and then my second at 5,000. I will continue to do it every 5,000 miles myself. Just don't trust the oil enough to wait until 10,000 miles for a change. I understand you drive a lot of miles but personally I couldn't wait as long as you between changes. I hope everything works out well with you and your vehicle.

That makes sense. I'd do the same if I bought new.

I just checked my records and have done 14 changes in 60k miles. I’m at 20% and will do the 15th one this week.

Waiting for the oil light to come on is not a great idea. Filling the % oil life remaining is perfectly fine. I can’t imagine that’s allowing you to get 12,000 miles between changes.

That's what I go by, oil life gauge. My oil life lasts at least 10k miles. 1200 miles knocks me down about 8% oil life.

If you offroad or tow, okay. But would you do same if it's 60k of highway miles over 10 months? 14 changes?

My bad then. I fully agree with following the oil life. These are designed to determine life based on driving types. My driving living in the mountains usually equates to 4-6k change intervals max.

I follow the oil life. I do off road, tow, and live at 8,600’. It sees 5k rpms to get to the grocery store.
