I have partnered with a company to create a goose gear-esque system. It’s more lightweight and cheaper. It should be delivered this week and I’ll give it a work out this upcoming weekend.

I’ll give my thoughts on it and if you’re interested, I should be able to give you a coupon code of sorts where they should give you a discount.

They would like me to install and review it before I promote them to any other customers
Sounds great. Much appreciated!

Installed a Rydeen Tombo 360x dash cam. The screen is a rear view mirror replacement and has the front camera integrated. Also has gps, proximity sensor, etc. I think I’ll like it. It was recommended by my local car audio guy as they have great product support and the rear camera is exterior rated, which I needed.

Love it! I need this! Where did you mount the rear camera?

It has one negative, but I think it’s the only one. The visors on jt’s and JL’s slightly hit it when hinging them down and forward. It doesn’t bother me much, but it might others. Real estate is a premium in the windshield area. Especially with adaptive cruise. They might clear perfectly with jeeps that don’t have adaptive cruise for all I know. It’s a full mirror replacement, as opposed to wolfbox that straps to the Oem mirror.

It also has connections to add blind spot monitors and side cameras, and can be triggered to switch to the rear camera with optional guide lines when you put the vehicle in reverse. I already have blind spot and didn’t want the reverse trigger hooked up as I think the Oem camera does fine with that.

How much lower does it sit vs the OEM mirror?

I mounted the rear camera on the top edge of the license plate. It was an easy first spot to try. If I like it there, fantastic. If not, I’ll work on another option. There’s plenty of wire to move it higher, but I’m hoping it’ll work out well where it is.

I don’t know that it’s any significant amount lower, with the exception of the camera, but I didn’t measure. If anyone wants that measurement, I can measure from the dash to the bottom of the mirror. Someone else with adaptive cruise and an Oem mirror could provide the comparison measurement.

OEM mirror with adaptive cruise is 9.5 inches wide and just barely misses the visor when it is pulled down. It sits 4 inches below the visor panel measuring from behind the mirror - this with my OEM mirror ‘flipped’ with widest part at the bottom.
does the camera mirror attach to the OEM mirror arm?
