They make me think of how the Artec high clearance rear bumper has aluminum skid plates that do the same thing as these. They are replaceable once they get messed up and keep the actual bumper from dragging on the rocks. Also makes me think of the knee pucks that sportbike riders have on the knees of their riding suits.
Adding more protection while also losing clearance. Nice play engineering team. JEEP for the win.

Ya, that doesn't look to bad, might need to do this soon. I wish they would come out with a one piece that covers this area so it flows a bit better.

The installation hardware looks like it would shear off the first pebble it touched. MOPAR aftermarket gimmicks to accessorize your accessory at $60. And one day they will sell water in a bottle and charge you $5 when I can already get it from that searingly hot garden hose behind the house!!
It should get squeezed into place when you grind on something. I figure the odds of dragging the butt on something are pretty high so maybe I won’t tear up the paint on the rails.
plus it adds a little color back there.

Well got shit done tonight.

PSA, if your homie, Battle buddy or a close friend/loved one reaches out out of cycle or normal communication cycle......get on it. I've been absent the last few days because of that statement.

My OG Battle buddy from my first duty assignment called me Friday night out of the blue and his verbiage was concerning. He called Friday night and I was on the first flight from BWI to Seattle w/o concern of my actual family. Sorry, not sorry.......I wasn't going to let my brother be a story line on CNN. I no shit dismissed my son's soccer tryouts to ensure my homie was safe and sound.

Thankfully Made it in time and we'll fuck it, all is good.

I don't want pity or shit, just be aware when shit does feel or sound right.........take action.

Well here is my '24 grill install lol. Yes the easy button was unbolt the bumper and slide it out

This is why I support Til Valhalla Project (https://tilvalhallaproject.com/) and, locally, Operation Ray of Light (https://operationrayoflight.com/) in the community around Sebago Lake in Maine. I also am part organizer of the annual Lt. Scott Milley Ranger Foundation’s Frye Island Adventure Series (https://www.facebook.com/people/Lt-Scott-F-Milley-Ranger-Foundation/100064855893801/) in our town of Frye Island on Sebago Lake. Glad you made the trip even if you think it might be overkill.

Haven't done anything yet today, locked up my winch somehow yesterday, just got new steering damper delivered about 15mins ago. I'm waiting for the the temperature to get up a little more before getting into those, maybe after lunch.

Did this on my Tacoma with RSI Smartcap and it really was a beneficial "mod." Will do the same for my JT w/Smartcap.
My Tacoma was a real pain to seal the bed. I think the tailgate was the easiest part actually. I hope the Gladi is easier, though the front bed wall does not leave me very confident...

Florida and Maine are two good weather testing sites with intense thunderstorm and wind activity. I was able to keep the Tacoma bed pretty dry. I used butyl tape as caulking which never leaked or dried up. I will be doing the same to the Jeep Smartcap.
