I was more referring to having to get out when backing.
I pull my trailer down to my shop approach, switch the truck around and hook up to the front. I can then watch my trailer and see exactly where it is going. It's a lot easier to maneuver. No watching mirrors, no looking at a screen. You just drive.
The screen never bothered me because my trailer is a flat bed car hauler.

I see the appeal, but it’s a choice between from receiver and off road bumper and skids. I’d rather have the skids and back the trailer.

It would be a thing depending on what you were trying to clear, but you can run the front skid plate with a receiver. It is pretty much up against the bottom of the stock steel bumper.
But if you need more clearance- yeah, a hinderance.

Yep. As much as I’d love a plow for the new driveway, it’s not in the cards. As it is I smash into everything down there.

After my last trip I realized I need more storage inside my JT so after sleeping on it I ordered the Goose Gear rear seat delete this morning. Email says they are eight weeks out so a trip to Home Depot and some help from my bro-in-law and I have a fairly nice temp solution.

Looks like a well done permanent solution.

tazer and its completely gone, I mostly did it was for Backing up the trailer it hoping in and out checking for clearance
Yep, I have the tazer and use for a bunch off things. But sometimes the live stuff drops out and I have to unhook the tazer and then hook it back up.
But everyone can do the seatbelt thing, nothing extra needed.

Looking at Goose Gear rear seat delete for my Tacoma a few years ago, but it's more than I'm willing to spend on more space in the back seats! Love the fit and finish of the setup tho.

My son has a Goose Gear system, but I decided to just build my own. The top panels are carpeted and removable, and I have a lot more usable space under the panels than my son…but the Goose system is top notch…

I don’t routinely have anyone ride in the back, but my wife wanted me to try and keep the seats. However, one trip and the seats had to go…

No grandchildren yet for me but I have two daughters so chances are good, Until then I will leave the seats stored. We are leaving on a two week trip soon to AZ and UT so this platform will work for me until my order arrives, I just need to resist the urge to cover it in carpet. 🙂

Yesterday, I put together My Threedom mini key holder (I killed a Key FOB and got one free with Mopar key insurance and they let me keep the dead key)
Not too hard to do just push out the roll pin and pulled the key out ( needed pliers I think it might also be glued) then I put the into the holder.
Then picked out the chip and pushed in the Key pocket. I did not like the fact it just was easy push in so I added some black great stuff RTV.
Now I have a spare key to unlock doors and the locks in the trcuk as well as start it by pushing the key handle to the staart button!
looks like this:

And he's got his priorities straight - plenty of STORAGE underneath, and - he's kept the CUP HOLDERS usable!
