So ....... solutions through thought and common sense. I hogged the holes out with a step bit, ordered the right sized grommets and got to work. Here is the final result

Looks great. What steps are those that the harness didn’t fit?

RSE - but he didn't want to run the harness under the truck, so ran it inside the truck.
That means passing those big connectors for the board/motor, down through the floor instead of passing the tiny connectors for the door switches upward from below.

Ah. Yep. I ran it under. No big deal in my opinion.

Same here - right along the other factory wiring runs, on top of the frame.

The harness was intended from the manufacture to mount the harness under the truck, I did not like that ......so I did engineering things and modified to be installed in the truck.

I know. I have the same steps. Your jeep. Glad you found the solution you wanted. I for sure do things others wouldn’t. Doesn’t make us wrong. :)

One question.......how did you get out for power and ground access? They want direct hot feed.

Your way makes the internal wiring easier.

I’m guessing under the glove box, but they could have still run power and ground from the battery.

Not today, but Tuesday and yesterday I got rid of that God awful plastic bumper and added a knock off Rubicon steel bumper and a Badlands 12,000 # winch. I did paint the bumper before install because I know I would have rust within the first couple of weeks.

I do have a couple of little thing to do to button things up. Hawse fairlead spacers and install fairlead, run wires for the 3/4 marker lights that I installed it the sensor holes (after tinting them dark).

Yeah, you need battery, not acc, and something with minimal voltage drop.

I find it works well with the ground going to the fender, and the power coming off N2 to keep from stacking more wires onto the battery terminals. Keeps it neat, tidy, and you won't see the wire coming up from below and under the panel cover onto N2. Tidy, unseen, out of the way when doing battery replacements or whatever.

Would be interesting to see what he connected to inside if he did, or how he exited the cabin to the engine bay if he went that route. Always interested in different things.

If you were closer I'd have given you my powder coated knock-off bumper for help putting my winch and receiver in place.

Summer prep projects continue. 35's put on yesterday, just need to swing by Discount to get mileage updates. Last projects are getting RTT on to make it's good and then h opefully get the front locker installed by end of June. Oh, found the back shocks started leaking this past Winter so will need to replace those. 😒
