Had thought about that, but then realized things that get covered here almost always end up full of moisture and/or critter nests.
You would literally have to seal it somehow. Not possible in this situation.
I can't park my lawn tractor anywhere but a sealed building, otherwise I have critters of all sorts living in it - wasps, mice, chipmunks...................

I finished the second type of harness for it - so now I can plug in a set of leads to connect it to a battery, or a set of leads to run it off the power plug in the bed of my JT.

I just realized - that connector in the bed could be used for other things....... hmmmm.... air compressor, anything that can be powered by under 50 amps 12-13VDC.
It's like a HD 12VDC outlet back there.

Yep. This is my plan at some point as well. I want my portable air compressor mounted back there in the bed with that connector able to do multiple things. I’ll most likely use the Thors Lighting set of wires that come done up from the get go but those can be used for a lot of different things. Jump starts from the bed, anyone? I absolutely HATE alligator clips on battery terminals. They give me the Willys. I’ve seen it go wrong 1 too many times.

As of today:
Redline Hood Lift Struts & Brackets (Redline Tuning)
ONINE Low Profile Bed Cover (Amazon)
AMP Research Power Steps (RealTruck)
Coming in tomorrow:
Tackform Slim Track Bracket w/ Qi2.2 Charging & Cooling Phone Mount (TackForm)

I use CarPlay because the Gladiator I purchased didn't have navigation. I'm really liking the CarPlay app, but it really sucks battery like a siphon. Qi 2.2 is the way to go from everything I've read. I'd really like to get a passenger side retractable bed step and maybe add a powered sub to help the sound. Sound is not that good with the base stereo.
Please let us know how the Tackform Charging & Cooling mount works for you. I have a similar item from Bulletpoint but my phone still overheats when using it.

Nipple clamps, check. Need battery, saddle, and a quart of motor oil. Be all set for a weekend.

Those clips are only for a time where I may carry a battery out of my shop and use the winch without my JT, or if my neighbor needs to use the trailer and winch again - he's used it more than once.

When I charge my JT batteries - I go into the trailer connector, or some other means

I teased my wife that I was going to make a garden train set up in our back yard. Mine was going to be a little different, though...

Completely done in N scale.

Could you imagine the layout possible with something that size ? Literal towns and industries throughout the yard.

My wife not only said no, she said HELL no.

You could fit a lot in N scale.
The garden train was the wife's idea after we went to a large model train show where they had a couple G scale train lay outs.

I had thought about it, but it was winter here in Texas, it was a chilly 60* at the time....lol. Doing such seemed possible.

The Texas heat of summer, which is hotter than the doorknob to Hell's door, would quickly destroy anything left out in the sun.

Idea abandoned.

I took advantage of Prime Day and ordered a sunscreen for the front and rear of my Jeep. It came in this evening, I'll be installing it tomorrow. On Monday, I got it for 55 bucks for both sections "Prime Day Special" and all that. Since then I've watched the price jump back and forth from 55 bucks to 90 bucks. I've seen that quite a bit, I wonder why Amazon does that...odd. And unfair.

My other purchase, the EZ4x4 four door cart should be here tomorrow, I'm kinda excited about that purchase, I can safely remove and move my doors !!

The sunscreen will also come in handy; no more sun beating directly on my lily white ass, burning me (skin cancer survivor....), the screen will also keep the seats from fading, the center console turning into lava, and most importantly...keep that seagull crap off the interior !! I swear them flying rats fly around looking for convertibles....and how do they ALWAYS get the drivers seat ???

Front sunscreen installed. Took a wee bit, the instructions are lacking. YouTube helped. After installing clip #3 by hand, I said, "Where's my drill ?". Fortunately, I had a Torx #25 bit. Amazingly, no popping or flapping while underway. Full disclosure once I'm on the highway doing a mandatory 80+ mph here in Texas. Fit is good, color matches well. I can leave it on with the freedom panels, only have to remove the bungee cord going through the alignment pin bracket on the windshield.

I took it for a test run, me likes. I went to the car wash to get my front seats shampooed. I said only front. They said "leather conditioner ?" I said no, I got my own. After about 45 minutes, the lady doing my seats waves her rag above her head, universal car-wash sign for "Yoo-hoo !! I'm done !!". I walk up, she did the front AND back seats, put conditioner on all the leather and even vacuumed out the carpet. I said, "Ohhh...you were only supposed to do the front, no conditioner !" She goes, "Si, I know. But I do all, no problem.". I only paid 30 bucks for the two front to be cleaned. I tipped her 10 bucks. Now it sits in my driveway, windows down and top off, to dry. Sunscreen will stop any leaves or bird crap coming my way...

I have not installed the rear screen yet.

Oil stains in driveway are not from this Jeep; perish the thought.... ;)

Amazon Prime Day Special....from the directions, I can assume China.

Brand is Shadeidea (which I thought that itself was a Chinese word, but it's Shade Idea joined together....stupid me).

I like it so far; I was expecting some chintzy thin mesh, it's pretty stout material. Price-wise, it can't be beat. Longevity, well, I can't speak of that yet....
